Summary: This capstone project aimed to design and build a soft vest system that could be worn as an undergarment for posture correction. The team's vest design, AirAlign, won the 2nd place and the People's Choice Award in the DifferenceMaker® Francis College of Engineering Prototyping Competition at UMass Lowell.

Students: Ciro OrigiRohr (ECE), Travis Kessler (ECE), Chunlong Huang (ME), John Wheeler (ME), and Stephen Halas(ECE).

Summary: This industrial capstone project aimed to design a mobile robot that could clean spills and debris in Symbotic’s warehouse structure. The students' design was chosen as the winner of the Symbotic Utility Bot Competition between UMass Lowell, Worcester Polytechnic Institue, and the University of New Hampshire. UMass Lowell’s College of Engineering was awarded the $50,000 grand prize, and Symbotic would use the Utility Bot design for further development and prototyping.
