The Terrain Robotics Advanced Control and Experimentation (TRACE) Lab in the School of Mechanical Engineering at Purdue University focuses on modeling, estimation, planning, and control of legged locomotion and manipulation. Our research goal is to achieve safe and autonomous robot operations in highly dynamic and complex environments including non-inertial settings. We are also interested in applying our robotics knowledge and skills to revealing the fundamental principles of human and animal locomotion biomechanics as well as investigating robot-assisted human walking.
